Disposable email checker

Enter an address or a domain to see whether it is a throwaway inbox from a temp-mail service. Nothing is sent to the address and nothing is stored.

How to read the result

Disposable: the domain is on the list, is a subdomain of a listed one, or its mail goes to a known temp-mail service. Mail to it will bounce once the inbox expires. Not disposable: neither matched; it says nothing about whether the address itself exists.

To check everything else about one address, format, mail servers, role addresses and typos, use the email verifier.

Questions

How does it detect disposable email?
Two ways. The domain is compared with a list of 10,123 known throwaway domains (the community list at github.com/disposable-email-domains), including subdomains of them. Then its mail servers are compared with those of known temp-mail services, which catches new domains before any list does.
How often is the list updated?
About monthly; this copy is from 2026-11-03. The mail-server check covers domains registered since.
Should I block disposable emails on sign-up?
For a product that sends real email after sign-up, usually yes: the inbox expires, later mail bounces, and bounces hurt your sender reputation. Show a clear message asking for another address rather than failing silently.
Is Apple Hide My Email disposable?
No. Addresses at privaterelay.appleid.com forward to a real inbox the person keeps; this checker does not flag them.
